Alumina fibre board
Description
Af 165/45 ceramic fibre boards and shapes are durable lightweight
insulating boards for high temperature applications. The combination of uniform microstructure and high alumina contenet results in outstanding thermal insulation properties. They may be used as hot-face furnace insulation for furnaces operating intermittently at up to 1650°C or continuously at up to 1550°C. They are pre-fired and contain no organic material. A similar product but with no free silica is available for use in reducing conditions or where silica is not premitted.
