Description
The RFH range of furnaces offers a standard range of very high temperature furnaces for laboratory and research use. Other sizes are available to suit specific needs. Optional extras allow the standard sizes to be customised for many applications.
The units are constructed with high grade low thermal mass fibre insulation board enclosed within a double skin steel case. This allows the outer skin to be kept cool and the external furnace dimensions to be kept small. The door opens outwards and upwards so that the hot face is always facing away from the operator. A door safety switch isolates the elements from the power supply when the door is opened. A small shelf is situated below the door to assist in loading and unloading the furnace. The door can be provided with a powered opening system on request.
Heating elements are of high quality molybdenum disilicide or similar mounted vertically along the side walls of the chamber to give uniform heating and long life. Temperature control is through digital programmable units. Multiple ramp and dwell programs are available. Temperature sensing is with Type B (Pt 20%Rh / Pt 40%Rh) thermocouples. Independent user programmable over-temperature protection is included. Power control is through solid state relay.
Optional extras include :
Electrically operated door, | Chart recorder, |
Gas inlet / outlet. | 7 day or 24 hr timer, |
RS232 or 454 communications interface. |
