GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
WM series crucible furnaces have an inner "heat box" surrounded by an air gap set in a steel outer casing. They are cylindrical in external and internal shape.
The working insulation face is lightweight insulating firebrick for strength and wear resistance. This is backed with suitable fibre materials for maximum heat saving efficiency. At the bottom of the workspace a floor is provided with similar insulation to that in the sides.
A sheathed thermocouple within the chamber gives accurate temperature sensing. The lift and turn lid covers the working area and the hot face insulation lining allowing obstruction-free access to the chamber where a standard crucible may be positioned.
The electrical controls are mounted in a box to the side of the kiln case. Temperature control is achieved through a separate unit connected to the control box by a flexible cable and normally attached to the side of the kiln near the top for easy operation. The temperature controller incorporates thermocouple break protection as standard.
A choice of PID digital controllers with digital setting and readout are offered. A safety switch is fitted to the lid in all models. Various optional extras are available.
