GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The A’ range of furnaces have a ventilated ‘heat box’ located in a steel outer casing, attractively finished in blue, with front panels finished in black stove epoxy.

A vacuum formed, hardened, ceramic fibre shape forms the entrance to the furnace. The furnace work chamber is stainless steel with incolloy encapsulated heating elements in side-wall ducts.

The chamber is surrounded by a graded selection of the latest high efficiency, lightweight insulation, to minimise heat losses and to provide a uniform working zone. An air circulation fan is fitted at the rear and ensures an accurate and uniform temperature within the work chamber.

The full width up and over type door allows obstruction free access, and keeps the hot face away from the operator at all times. The insulating ceramic fibre plug, supporting insulation, and door linkages are concealed behind the door which is counter balanced by epoxy coated door weights Below the door is a full width, stainless steel work shelf

The furnace controls are mounted on a ventilated panel, which is recessed for instrument protection, and set at an angle for ease of vision. The controls consist of a green illuminating push- button on/off rocker switch; load indication neon, and a red over-temperature warning neon.

A digital PID solid state, fully automatic temperature controller is fitted incorporating thermocouple break protection as standard. A type K thermocouple probes the chamber for accurate temperature sensing. Power switching to the elements is by means of fast cycle thyristors for accuracy and long life.

A pre-set over-temperature protection device is fitted as standard but an adjustable panel mounted controller can be fitted as an option.

A door safety switch is fitted to all models, this operates in conjunction with a secondary contactor to provide isolation of power from the elements when the furnace door is opened. The over-temperature controller also works in this secondary circuit to complete the high standard of electrical specification.

Various optional extras are available including: alternative models of temperature controller; temperature programmer; temperature recorder, time switch; chimney, and furnace stand etc

Larger or non-standard furnaces can be manufactured to order.
