Annealing ovens
Custom built - Max temperature 700°C
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Typically the Industrial range of annealing ovens has an internal ventilated ‘heat box’ located in a steel outer casing finished in blue stove epoxy. The internal dimensions are usually from about 600mm cube to about 2000mm cube. Each unit is custom built.
The chamber is surrounded by a graded selection of the latest high efficiency, lightweight insulation, to minimise heat losses and to provide a uniform working zone. An air circulation fan is fitted to ensure an accurate and uniform temperature within the work chamber.
The door access is usually side hinged and allows obstruction-free access.
The furnace controls are mounted on a ventilated panel, which is usually alongside the door. The controls consist of a green illuminating push-button on/off rocker switch; load indication neon, and a red over-temperature warning neon.
A digital PID solid state, fully automatic temperature controller is fitted incorporating thermocouple break protection as standard. A type K thermocouple probes the chamber for accurate temperature sensing. Power switching to the elements is by means of fast cycle thyristors for accuracy and long life.
An over-temperature protection device is fitted as standard.
A door safety switch is fitted to all models, this operates in conjunction with a secondary contactor to provide isolation of power from the elements when the furnace door is opened. The over-temperature controller also works in this secondary circuit to complete the high standard of electrical specification.
Various optional extras are available including: alternative models of temperature controller; temperature programmer; temperature recorder, time switch; chimney, and furnace stand etc
All large models are designed for operation on 415 Volts 50 Hz three phase, neutral and earth.
